ZIZKOV CENTER, designed with an elegant approach to affordable housing, is situated in Prague. Six sculptural towers in dynamic relationship with each other stand tall on the pedestals of the linear podium buildings that flow, shift and bend to create a contemporary urban block.

Forms in various compositions define multiple open spaces with varying qualities that contibute to the quality of open space in the urban environment. Inclusivity in design is established in urban scale by breaking the city block and letting the urban context flow into the site.

In order to separate base buildings from towers, facade of the base buildings is designed as a continous band that follow the flow of the form and express horizontality. Each unit is expressed by the arch module in front of their open balcony. Facade is finished by stucco painted in a mid tone salmon color that is earth tone. The recessed part of the facade is painted darker to blend with the glazing of windows and doors.

Verticality is emphasized on the towers. Light beige color painted stucco forms the continous vertical bands to create a lofty light feeling. Cantilevering loggias are glazed and they narrow down to create the form pinch that defines the lobbies on the roof garden levels.
